The HOW Design Conference

This week, our posting will either be fast and furious or non-existant.  Raffi, Kelly and I are all in Atlanta for the HOW design conference.  One thing I can tell you is that you won’t get a “best of last week” post on Monday.  So, sorry for teasing you with the start of that little tradition last week, then skipping this week.

Last night, we hooked up with a group of “HOWies” who we met at last year’s conference in Las Vegas.  We hit a great pub crawl and hung out talking shop….and other things until around 5am.  It’s great to get a chance to network with such a fabulous group of people.  I know it’s shocking, but we’re not experts on everything, so we enjoy the chance to meet new people who can help us help our clients better.

After a little recovery at the pool today, we’re headed out to the official networking event this evening, followed by the opening keynote by Karen Salmansohn entitled, “Ballsy: Ways to score extreme business success”.  That sounds like it should be interesting.

Anyway, we’ll do our best to keep you all informed, especially since we know that some of our loyal readers were hoping to attend this year, and were unable.

Exposure returns

It’s been a while since I’ve posted to the blog, and there’s good reason.  As a company, we were a bit unhappy with the way the blog was going and we de-emphasized it in our recent re-design of the R-Design website.  We even left it out of the main navigation when we launched the new site, although we did leave all the old pages live.

After some informal talks during staff meetings, we decided that the main problem with the blog was that it just didn’t provide all that much useful content.  We aim to change that now.  In an effort to continue our own education, we’ve all committed to spend some time each week keeping up to date with what’s new in our respective specialties.  We’d like to share our thoughts and what we learn with our loyal readers.  In addition to posts from me, you’ll begin seeing some posts from Raffi and Kelly as well.  By posting more frequently, about more useful topics, we hope to educate each other, our clients, family, friends and colleagues.

I hope you enjoy the new, reborn “Exposure”.  Let us know if you have any suggestions, criticism, or any other commentary (as long as it isn’t spam).
