For those out of the loop, the guy who plays Mac from the Apple “HI, I’m a Mac” “I’m a PC” commercials is now appearing with Bruce Willis in the new “Die Hard” movie. Is this the first major breakthrough of a computer in an acting role, or does the Speak and Spell in ET count?

One IMDB message board poster finds her PC unattractive enough to utter, “Well, I’ve never had the pleasure of spending time alone with a Mac in real life or with the guy from the commercial, but I’d most definitely trade in my PC for some alone time with Justin Long.”
