R-Design redesigns TheMusicBoxMan.com
posted by Brian Marketing No Comments »When the Music Box man came to us, there was much updating needed for his website.

The website he had at that time contained a series of group shots, displaying some of his truly magnificent collection of music boxes. The music box man wanted to display his entire collection on the website - and the project had to fit into his limited budget. In addition, the music box man offers several music boxes for sale.
The solution to this problem was to find an inexpensive collection management software. The music box man tried several free trial applications and finally settled on Collection Master, a desktop database application made specifically for managing collections. Collection master features a “web wizard” that creates web pages automatically. While this method lacks some of the features that a custom online database solution might offer, such as searchability, better design and easier online sales, the low cost solution nevertheless works for the Music Box Man.
With the collection pages generated by the Collection software, using the software’s template, we took on the task of redesigning the static portions of the site. The colors were changed, and the layout was cleaned up so that text could be featured, allowing search engine spiders to read and index the contents of the site.
Overall, the changes work and the Music Box Man has much of his collection already indexed. If you have any interest at all in music boxes, check it out.
